Katsuhiro Harada, Producer and Director of the Tekken franchise has confirmed that ‘Tekken 7? is in development at a press conference organized by Casa Asia and the European Institute of Design in Madrid, Spain.
The story in each Tekken game documents the events of a martial arts tournament, so it’s safe to assume Tekken 7 would be no different. Specific details regarding new or returning characters were not discussed, but the game is only in the early stages of development.
Just like its predecessor ‘Tekken 6?, the game is expected to be released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PSP.
Speaking via its newswire website, Rockstar Games has revealed that they will be releasing some exciting content for Red Dead Redemption later in the year.
We’ve announced the Outlaws to the End (free) Co-Op DLC Pack, which you should expect sometime in June. We’ll have more details on that pack specifically very soon. Look for some screens unveiling one of the other missions in that pack very soon. But also know that there will definitely be more DLC packs to follow, later this summer and into the fall. Some exciting things are planned – we’ll be announcing info including release time frames and pricing on those in the coming months.
Obviously they don’t give much away in respect of the content we can expect, however its exciting to know that Red Dead Redemption will continue to grow throughout the year.
Robbie Bach and James Allard set to leave the company this coming autumn.
Robbie Bach, currently Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices President, known for the creation of the company’s two consoles along with the Zune. Along with James Allard, currently Chief Technology Officer, will both be stepping down from their respective positions over the next few months.
It has been rumoured that Bach is stepping down due to not wanting to commit the amount of time it would take to take Microsoft’s hardware development forward. Whereas, Allard is said to be leaving to spend more time with his family and pursuing his philanthropic endeavors.
According to sources at TechCrunch, the next version of iPhone OS, which is set to release this June will have Bing as its default search engine in Mobile Safari. Microsoft and Apple have reportedly been in talks over a possible search deal since January of this year, but since then there has been no real news on this.
After all the recent conflicts over Android, the removal of Google Search from iPhone shouldn’t come as a surprise. Google has been rumored to be paying around $100 million dollars a year to Apple for the search rights, and ads that serves on the iPhone.
Also yesterday, there was this rumor about Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer making an appearance at WWDC to announce Visual Studio 2010 for iPhone and iPad. This rumor was then quickly debunked by the official Twitter account of Microsoft. If not Steve B., then maybe there will be someone else from Microsoft who will be there to announce Bing for iPhone? Well who knows. For all this and more, we will have to wait for Jobs’ keynote at WWDC where he will announce the next iPhone along with iPhoneOS 4. [via TechCrunch]
Blur uses the obvious simularity between Mario Kart and Blur, and shows why this is a game for big boys (and girls) – and why the kids should stick with Mario Kart!

Kane & Lynch 2: Dogs Days is set to deliver an intense and highly gritty single player adventure. But the game is also setting out to give fans a robust multiplayer component which we have our first details to right now.
The classic multiplayer mode of the first Kane & Lynch, "Fragile Alliance," returns in Kane & Lynch 2. In this multiplayer game-type players must work together as a team to escape with as much of the loot as possible from a heist. However, you can choose to betrayal your teammates and steal all the money for yourself. If you’re one of the unlucky souls betrayed by your partner you’ll die and respawn as a cop to prevent the rest of the heist. This mode is playable by 8 players.
"Arcade Mode" is new to Kane & Lynch 2 and is the equivalent of a single player Fragile Alliance game. The objective here is to assist the Alliance in escaping with as much of the loot as possible, with players getting paid if they survive. With each new round the difficulty is ramped up and your partners become more nervous about sticking around with the getaway car since the cops are beginning to crack down harder.
The third multiplayer gametype of Kane & Lynch 2 is called "Undercover Cop," adding an extra layer of paranoia to Fragile Alliance. At the beginning of each round an "undercover cop" is chosen from the group of players and it is his/her job to bring down the heist from the inside. The cop will be required to kill his "teammates" at his/her own discretion in order to win the round. Undercover Cop is playable by 8 players.
The final gametype is "Cops & Robbers" which is essentially the Kane & Lynch version of attack and defend. Robbers will be required to protect their score whilst the cops are trying to retrieve it. With each new round the teams will swap sides and at the end of four rounds, to the victors go the spoils. Cops & Robbers is playable by 12 players.
The guys over at WePlayCoD has been given a first hand preview of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops coming this winter.
Let me summarize before I ship you off to their site to get the full story:
"Black Ops is not about the Cold War, it’s about the black ops that occurred underneath the Cold War." – Mark Lamia
The Black Ops mp team is twice the size compared to the mp team of World at War.
Work on multiplayer began on day one.
There is no time period for multiplayer, giving us access to more toys and tools.
The mp team reads the forums, blogs, Twitter, etc. and are sensitive to what the community says.
No mp maps have been taken from sp, although some sp maps have been taken from mp.
Create-a-Class customization is deep and includes many new features.
Focus is being put on varied playlists, including those for old school gamers ala Barebones.
The team is also focused on how to extend the game once you leave your console/PC.
Many of your favorite weapons will be seen, although we can’t speak specifics.
Region filter will return.
Leave with party feature sounded to be making a return.
Host migration will be included.
Auto-aim ("Sticky Aim") will have a toggle on/off option.
Focused on preventing hackers/modders with a dedicated "security team".
2-4 play Co-op will return, and it’s not Campaign Co-op, rather a "really fun co-op mode that you and your friends will love to sit on the couch and play". Speculate away people!
It looks like dedicated servers will be returning to the PC version, although mod tools are still in question.
