Media Center Setup

http://blog.tmcnet.com/blog/tom-keating/images/windows-mce-logo.png

Headless Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium on Packard Bell iMedia 8851. 1 Tb internal storage, 4 gigs RAM. Two FireDTV DVB-T. Hardware placed in the basement where it doesn’t bother anyone.

TV Providers: Boxer. Subscription cards splitted to two recievers.

Handles HD TV channels if Boxer would ever start airing them, aswell as streaming full HD movies at 1080p from the HTPC storage.

Living room; Xbox 360 Elite, SHARP Aquos 52″ Full HD LCD TV.
Upstairs, Xbox 360 Arcade, 28″ CRT TV.
Office, Xbox 360 Arcade, 24″ Fujitsu Siemens monitor.

Two heavily modified Xbox 360 Premium doing nothing. Suffered from RRoD, now revived using the X-Clamp fix, and will have the cooling fixed for complete silent operation. Will replace the upstairs Xbox 360 as soon as warranty is out on it, and most likely rebuild that one to be silent aswell.

Supporting the Media Center setup, I also have Microsoft Windows Home Server setup. Total 3,5 Tb storage, handling storage of movies, music, pictures and backups of all computers. Off Site backup for important data to Storegate on a nightly schedule.

Why did you choose XBOX !!!!

Simple! The Xbox 360 contains a Media Center Extender, making it possible to watch TV, movies, pictures and music using the same graphical user interface as locally on the Media Center PC.
